On a Facebook page christened Umoja Estate that is managed by a team of Embakasi West Constituents who are loyal to the Member of National Assembly George Theuri, a post appeared that divided residents.
A group member, Charles Matiti posted a picture of the MP with the following words, ‘2022 tunaendelea na safari’.
Only a few responses were good, but that was it. Everything went south from there.
Though Theuri touts himself as a ‘swag na maendeleo’ guy who fills his personal page with pictures of development projects such as schools, etc that he is renovating or building, most residents, it appears don’t rate him highly because of bad roads and lack of water.
With bad roads, comes the drainage and garbage.
Most of the comments criticising Theuri on that Facebook group post emanate from his mishandling of solid and liquid wastes.
There’s a slum and waste mountains growing inside Umoja under IBER Africa power lines. Most link roads are not done, those that are done are very shoddy.
