A church member of the Umoja 1 Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) church travelled to Nakuru County for a conference before the last lockdown.
When he came back, he had carried an invisible enemy that would go on to cut down a couple of congregants.
The church which is located along the Kifaru – Mutindwa road, a magnificent structure constructed at a cost of Sh35 million has adhered to all the Covid-19 containment measures such as keeping services virtual, installing handwashing depots, using sanitisers and advising the small number of congregants coming for choir practice or meetings to wear face masks.
However, the series of deaths in the church over a couple of one month has shocked some churchgoers.
The editor of this site has information that over 5 people from the church have so far succumbed. Some had travelled to their rural areas.
Though the cause of death for all of them is not clear, a person who is conversant with the matter believes the strange deaths are due to the Covid-19 virus.
Kenya is staring at a new wave considering that the positivity rate for today has risen to over 11 per cent as 432 people test positive for Covid-19. Kisumu seems to be looking at a lockdown due to an alleged Indian Variant of the virus suspected to have been detected in the lake side city.
