There are two important contestants in Embaaksi west for the MP seat; George Theuri and Mark Mwenje.
None has organised any rallies to speak to constituents for votes.
Either side is just using noisy vans strapped with loudspeakers and miraa chewing crew to do rounds in the constituency asking for votes.
Embakasi West is comprised of the following wards, Umoja 1, Umoja 2, Mowlem and Kariobangi South.
Theuri, who started as a councillor (the name for MCA in the past constitution) has been the area legislator for 10 years now.
Mark Mwenje banks on the popularity of his surname name and his use of the president’s party, Jubilee, to get votes.

It is curious that both of them are not campaigning as it should be.
None has even been captured organising townhalls etc.
At the beginning of this year, Theuri was captured doing a door to door campaigns barefoot.
