The MP for Embakasi West constituency has announced plans to give bursaries to 1300 students in the four wards.
The bursary which will be at a maximum of SH10,000 per student will be shared equally between Umoja 1, Umoja 2, Mowlem, Kariobangi South/Uhuru wards.
The message which was shared on his facebook page is as below:
NGCDF Embakasi west University/College/Tertiary Bursary application. Due to public demand I request anyone interested in applying for the above funds please ensure you have the following requirements ready.
1. Fees structure
2. I.D card
3. Voters card for Embakasi west.
Ps: If you are not a registered voter of Embakasi west plz take advantage of the ongoing voter registration and visit the IEBC office situated at Tena estate along outering Road just adjacent to the pedestrian footbridge on your way to Shell petrol station.
All applicants Must come in person.
Since majority of university students are planning to report early September we shall communicate the official day probably early September and due to limitations of funding we shall conduct the exercise only 1 day and based on 1st come 1st served basis. We plan to serve 1200 beneficiaries ie 300 students for each ward making it ( 300×4=1200 beneficiaries) We project to give each student a minimum of ksh 10,000/= I understand times are hard but to ensure everyone tastes the cake we have to evenly distribute the money we could have wished to issue more but hope we understand everyone has to get something.
