In April 2022, Umoja News broke the news of the death of Rose Mueni, the first wife of Quincy Timberlake who eloped with Former TV siren Esther Arunga.
Rose had died suddenly and left their three boys with no one but merciful wellwishers to cater for them.
We tried in vain to contact Standard Digital, to air the story to a wider audience to no avail.

As luck would have it, the news caught the ears of Wahome Thuku an astute public affairs commentator and influential social media user.
In August he share that the boys were down on their luck once more and requested good samaritans to help fund the boys’ education, at least for the eldest son, Quincy.

TODAY I intended to feed you with nothing but good news. This here is Quincy Timberlake, son of The Timberlake of the Esther Arunga saga.The young man who scored an A- at Chavakali High School.
On Friday this week, he officially joined Kenya Aeronautical College at Wilsonn Airport for a 4 yr Aeronautical Engineering course.
With him is his guardian Sally Njoki Ndwigah during orientation. We have spent close to 400k to get him to join the college. That will take him one year. We hope to put him through for two years then do another fundraiser. The last two years he will be in China.
I’am almost in tears. Without you folks, this young man would never have even dreamt of getting there. Not even a dream. With all his brilliant brains he would have wasted always in the streets of Nairobi. But no, we will get him to the end God willing.
We will, because we can.
