Governor Johnson Sakaja has been praised much for agreeing with PSV to ferry uniformed school kids for free in Nairobi.
However, he doesn’t deserve that much praise since school kids, especially in Eastlands have been travelling for free, for years in Eastlands, Nairobi except in Kayole.
School kids often wait at designated bus stops and hop into the next available PSV.
They are always not allowed to sit unless the bus is not full and they are also not charged for the transport.
Kayole PSVs are greedy and according to investigations, charge uniformed school kids fare.

The Kenya Railways Corporation also used to have a lower cost for uniformed school kids.
Those days they’d charge Sh20 for any uniformed school kids whereas the standard fare for working adults was Sh40.
