Police in Kayole Matopeni area on Tuesday arrested peaceful mourners who had gone to lay a wreathe at the school where a young schoolgirl Michelle was beaten to death by her teacher.
“We have been arrested and taken to Kayole Matopeni Police . We had gone to lay a wreath at NewView School where 8year old was killed. @bonifacemwangi #justiceforMichelle”, Njeri wa Migwi wrote on Twitter.
Njeri wa Migwi (Mama Rescue) is a humanitarian worker and founder of USIKIMYE, an organisation that fights for the rights of domestic abuse cases and children.

Boniface Mwangi also condemned the act by police.

Hildah Achieng’s daughter Michelle was killed in school.Her classmates were bribed 30 bob each to keep quiet.They went home and told their parents what happened. When she went to bury her daughter, her mother-in-law saw her granddaughter’s body, collapsed & died
