The Kenyan National Highway Authority (KeNHA) has notified motorists that they’ll be fined for parking on undesignated spots.

PARKING ON THE ROAD SHOULDERS/EDGES IS I PROHIBITED Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) is a statutory body established under the Kenya Roads Act of 2007. It is responsible for the development, rehabilitation, management and maintenance of all National Trunk Roads comprising Classes 5, A, and B roads.
The Authority hereby reminds the public that under the Traffic Act CAP 403 sedlon 45A:
1) Motorists are encouraged to utilize designated parking lots when parking their vehicles along the highways, parking on the road shoulders or otherwise willoured a fine o/ KM. gam.
2) Motorists are also encouraged to utilize provided bus stops/bus bays along the highways for picking and dropping passengers, picking and dropping passengers otherwise will attract a fine of K511.30,000.
