Have you received your electricity token number after purchasing it online from Kenya Power (KPLC)?
Most Kenyans didn’t between Saturday and Sunday (today – 11th February 2024) and Kenyan power blames a technical hitch for the issue.
“We wish to inform our prepaid and postpaid customers that we have resolved a technical hitch that was affecting token generation and postpaid bill payment. Customers can now purchase prepaid tokens and pay their postpaid bilk without delay. Undelivered tokens will be sent to respective customers in the shortest time possible.
We once again apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience,” KPLC posted in a statement.
However, a few hours after they issued the above statement, scores of Kenyans still reported that the token dispensing system still had an issue.
This morning, blogger Cyprian Nyakundi posted that many KPLC users have sent him messages denoting they are still experiencing issues with the system. Many have had to wait more than 12 hours. Take a look at some of the posts on the social media platform, X.
