The NMS has ordered stalls along Umoja Kapsoit popularly known as Umoja K be demolished to pave way for drainage and pedestrian paths.
The rehabilitation of Umoja’s Kapsoit road is part of the plans by Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) to rehabilitate 8 kilometres of roads within and around Umoja Estate.
The project which will be undertaken at a cost of Sh902million will touch on eight roads within Umoja Innercore and its environs.
Umoja Innercore is composed of several road links that include Ruaraka Crescent Road, Kangundo Moi Drive link, Malewa – Mwangaza Road, Nasra Estate Road, Kifaru Mutindwa Road, Kangundo Service Road, Mowlem Link Road, and Outer Ring Road.
