A Kenyan club is making the headlines over their exorbitant alcohol prizes, but what is even more surprising to the common mwananchi is that there are Kenyans out there who are comfortably keeping them in business.
According to Daily Nation, the Caramel Restaurant and Lounge in Westlands is selling a bottle of Remy Martin Louis XII brandy for KSh. 1,225,000. While a 30ml single shot of the same brandy goes for KSh. 41,000. Johnnie Walker Blue Label Scotch Whisky King George V Edition, KSh. 250,000 a bottle,KSh. 15,000 and we hear that revelers can also acquire the most expensive liquor, which is the 60-year-old Macallan Highland Single Scotch Whiskey that retails at Sh2.5 million a bottle. The whisky is available on requisition. Remy Martin XO brandy is also available and costs only KSh. 129,000 per bottle.
The joint was opened recently and according to the Diageo Reserve Brands’ brand Ambassador , Ryan Majiwa, Kenyans are embracing the lifestyle and are spending big time on the luxurious drinks .
