The Nairobi Metropolitan Services – NMS has completed recarpeting of Umoja Estate’s Kapsoit Court access road.
Residents of Kapsoit Lane Court, Kapsoit Crescent Court, Kapsoit Court, Kapsoit Avenue, Chepalunga Court, Chepalunga Avenue Court and Olooranga Court have reason to smile, especially the children.
Even before the heavy tractors, steam rollers, and heavy tippers were out sight, children were seen roller-skating on the tarmack.
The rehabilitation of Umoja’s Kapsoit road is part of the plans by Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) to rehabilitate 8 kilometres of roads within and around Umoja Estate.
The project which will be undertaken at a cost of Sh902million will touch on eight roads within Umoja Innercore and its environs.
Umoja Innercore is composed of several road links that include Ruaraka Crescent Road, Kangundo Moi Drive link, Malewa – Mwangaza Road, Nasra Estate Road, Kifaru Mutindwa Road, Kangundo Service Road, Mowlem Link Road, and Outer Ring Road.
