President William Ruto on Wednesday afternoon commissioned Komarock South primary school in Embakasi Central.
Ruto was joined by Governor Johnson Sakaja and other leaders in the event which is said will start at 2 pm.
The newly completed school opened its doors for the first time on September 26, 2022.
It brings to 8 number of public primary schools in the Embakasi Central constituency, with each school accommodating at least 2,500 pupils.
Nairobi has 286 public schools, out of which 205 are primary institutions and the remaining 81 are secondary schools.
Area MP Benjamin Gathiru had earlier said that the school was meant to help reduce congestion in the surrounding schools and save parents from the pain of having to pay exorbitant fees in some learning institutions.
He revealed that the constituency has a shortage of 200 classrooms.
