The building that houses Tuskys Supermarket Buruburu is being converted into an office space.
The contractor on sight has begun to build an elevator bay so as to enable access to the top floors of the building.
It was necessary to fix an elevator in the building because all the floors are linked to a flight of stairs that passes through the supermarket.
The supermarket has shrunk and is currently occupying only 2 and a half floors (Ground, first and half of third floor), leaving the other floors unoccupied.
The unoccupied space is good for office space, gym and exhibition stalls.
The exhibition stalls will most probably take up the current traders stationed at Mutindwa Market when Kenya Railways repossess the land for the vehicle parking bay as it begins construction of the Mutindwa Railways Station.
