Umoja 1 Health Centre which serves the residents of Umoja Estate and environs is receiving a face-lift.
Services under the hospital include ante-natal, post-natal, HIV/AIDS care and outpatient, consultation.
‘People from all over Umoja and some from Kariobangi and Kayole come to use this hospital’, said a patient who spoke to Umoja News.
To enhance security, the hospital’s perimeter wall is being upgraded to Cement status. The project is funded by the Nairobi County Government and was advertised in January under tender number NCC/Health/RT/162/2019-2020.
On 23rd May, the Ministry of Health used the health centre as a Covid-19 testing ground.
Though the dispensary was renovated a few years ago, residents have complained about the bad roads outside it.
