President Uhuru Kenyatta has Friday afternoon opened a Level 2 Hospital and a community borehole in Dandora, Nairobi.
The Ushirika Hospital project is part of the 24 hospitals being constructed by the team led by Major General Mohammed Badi of Nairobi Metropolitan Hospital (NMS).
While launching the project the president announced Government plans to resume the Kazi Mtaani youth employment initiative.
When I was in Uthiru and Kiamaiko, and here, the youth have said they want Kazi Mtaani back, do you agree with them? Let’s see what we will do to have the program back,” he said.
“Do not allow yourselves to be deceived by politicians who are out to divide you. We will not achieve our development aspirations if we are not united,” President Uhuru Kenyatta
The President thanked members of County Assemblies (MCAs) that have okayed the Constitutional Amendment Bill under the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
He also asked wananchi to support BBI, saying it will ensure that more money is allocated to counties.
“Are Kenyans living in peace together? Are they eating together like brothers? I ask then, did I do anything wrong when I shook my brother’s hand?”
