Residents of Umoja Estate now have a reason to smile as they will soon have a Social hall.
Youths will particularly benefit from a social hall. Currently, most Umoja Youths depend on Kayole 2 Social Hall and others spread all over inner Eastlands Nairobi such as the Kaloleni Social Hall, Joseph Kang’ethe Social Hall.
Nairobi City County Government (NCCG) Youth and Sports ministry is planning to construct Umoja 2 social hall.
The timeline for the construction has not yet been given, however, the land where the social hall is to be constructed has already been cleared. There was a Pentecostal church, the Redeemed Gospel Church, on these grounds.
Social halls have been at the forefront of nurturing sporting talents such as boxing, wrestling, karate, Tae-Kwon-Do, table tennis etc.
