There was a bad accident at Outering road Nairobi at around 11am in the morning.

It is unfortunate that the accident was caused by a pedestrian trying to cross the busy road under the footbridge.

The lorry, a Nairobi Metropolitan Services, Water bowser swerved to try to avoid hitting a lady and her child.

‘the accident along outering ring road at Mutindwa foot Bridge. Water Bowser swerved to avoid knocking down a mother and child that were crossing the road at an undesgnated spot. The bowser has knocked down a few of the road concrete barriers,’ a resident told outering road, as Seen on Twitter.

Deadly road

Outering road is listed as one of the deadliest roads in Nairobi.

Unfortunately, even after the erection of 13 footbridge costing sh880 million, pedestrians have continued the mad dash across the road, while avoiding the footbridges.

Mutindwa, and the area between Donholm and Fedha estates have proved to be the most prone to crashes and death of pedestrians while crossing.

The road is also unfinished in some parts, especially the drainage.

Outering road also has some unexpected ending of lanes. A redesign of the road would be greatly appreciated by the residents.
