Mutindwa market in Buruburu has burnt down.
According for sources online, the fire started at around 4am.
The source of the fire is not yet known.
Firefighters from the nearby Kangundo Road fire station were unable to contain the fire, an hour into the incident.
Mutindwa market is one of the major entry points for non-motorised transport (pedestrians) into Buruburu.
Parents from Umoja and Kayole Estates are worried about how their kids will access schools in Buruburu, as at 5 am, the fire was still raging and unmanageable.
This is the first time, in Umoja News memory, that the market is burning. Other times, traders suffered losses at the hands of County Council’s bulldozers
Some residents suspect foul play.
