Nairobi County Assembly Minority Whip Mark Mugambi has claimed his life is in danger following an early morning attack outside city hall.
Addressing the media on Thursday, with an elastoplast on his forehead, Mugambi claimed he was attacked by goons outside city hall at around 7:30 am.
Mugambi has been at the forefront in criticising Nairobi Governor Sakaja Johnson,
On Thursday last week, Mugambi accompanied MCA Anthony Kiragu in calling for Sakaja to stop boardroom meetings and instead meet the people.
“Four months after elections and the Governor is overdoing boardroom meetings. nothing is happening on the ground yet our people need services,” Kiragu said.
“Governor should wake up and realize Nairobi residents want to see projects being launched and services brought closer to their houses. Sakaja should wake up and get to work,” he added.
On Tuesday, Kiragu and Mugambi accused the Governor of being biased against his own Party, UDA.
“We have heard the Governor saying he will facilitate a handshake between the President and Raila, yet he clearly knows Ruto’s stand on the issue,” he said.
Kiragu claimed that Sakaja was more concerned with working with the opposition than respecting Ruto’s wishes who is also the UDA Party leader.
He was accompanied by Mugambi when he made the remarks.
