There’s chaos in Kayole Estate, Nairobi after an extrajudicial killing by police.
A man named John Kiiru was arrested and bundled into a police landcruiser then later he died under unclear circumstances.
This is how it happened:

Kiiru had hailed a boda boda home, when police officers cornered and attacked him at Tushauriane Stage. The rider of the motorbike that he was aboard, however, managed to escape.
Kiiru, who attempted to flee on foot, was pursued by the officers who allegedly beat him up, causing him grievous harm.
The deceased’s spouse, Esther Wanjiru, told the media that Kiiru called her at 12:30am on Thursday and informed her that cops had seriously assaulted him.
Recent events
Police officers that killed two Embu brothers, Emmanuel and Benson Ndwiga were charged in court for their murder after several weeks of pressure from Kenya using the hashtag #JusticeForKianjokomaBrothers.
The two were arrested, put into a police car, then later found dead, some of the others that were arrested with them say police beat them.

Four police officers from Kiambu were arraigned i court for arresting, and robbing a man of Sh1030 from his MPESA.
Such cases have been on the rise.
In Kayole, a man was arrested, ordered to give his phone to police who later withdrew Sh20,500 from his MPESA phone.
