The estate roads in the gated Buruburu Phase 2 estate is being repaired.
The contractor Bizrate Enterprises Limited, appears to be politically connected as there is a lot of impunity in the works.
The works that have now taken over three weeks seem disorganised as the debris that was dug out of the road has been discarded by either the roadsides or open spaces within the estate, thereby causing an eyesore to the residents.
The contractor had also levelled the road with new rocks, but later on dug up trenches and knocked down well-tended fences so as to create a footpath.

The place looks ugly now, especially the uncollected debris, according to photos seen by Umoja News.
The small work is taking too long for no apparent reason and it appears it is for political clout.
Motorists and pedestrians within the estate have had to drive and walk by the mercy of god as open drainage and holes remain unmarked.
‘It is a hazard to school ging kids’, a resident was heard saying.
