Estates along Outering and Kangundo roads, Nairobi will be without water starting 6:00 am Thursday to midnight, the Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company has said.
In a statement, Managing Director Nahason Muguna said the interruption of water supply is due to a partial shutdown of the Ngethu Water Treatment Plant.
This will also pave way for scheduled maintenance at Ngethu Water Treatment Plant and the Ngethu Gigiri transmission mains.
Other areas in Nairobi that should expect dry taps include: the whole of City Centre, areas along Mombasa Road, University of Nairobi main campus, Coca Cola Factory, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, EPZ-Athi River and the whole of Industrial Area.
Also those living along Juja road, Thika road, Limuru road, Naivasha road and Kikuyu road will also be affected.
Regretting the inconvenience, Nairobi Water said other areas that will experience dry taps are those along James Gichuru, Langata road, Waiyaki Way, Riverside, Westlands, Lavington, Kileleshwa and Kilimani.
“We urge those in the affected areas to use water sparingly during the period of interruption,” Muguna said.
