Cooperative Bank of Kenya, one of the biggest banks in Kenya is apparently grappling with online banking issues.
Seven hours ago, the bank sent out a notice about its online service.
“We sincerely apologize that our mobile and internet banking services are currently unavailable. Our teams are resolving the challenge. Transanctions at ATMs, branches, Agents and at Merchant outlets are available. We apologize for this inconvenience”, they posted.
A sport check on social media accounts used by Umoja Estate residents shows the online banking and mobile services are yet to come back on.
“Your app is not working. *667 has been suspended”, a client wrote
Some clients who are used to free online banking service, accuse the first tier bank of forcing them to use premium service where they get charged.
Coop Bank has branches in Umoja and Buruburu Estates.
