The Kenya Railways Corporation has notified traders at the Mutindwa market of planned demolitions.
Traders were notified weeks ago that the market will be demolished to pave way for access road into the station.
The market which borders Bidii Primary School and East School of Theology University has been demolished by successive Nairobi City administrations for various reasons.
Mutindwa at some point harboured thieves, drug dealers and prostitutes.
The market was also at one time demolished for creating a hazard at the Railway crossing point. Many people lost their lives due to poor visibility.
Some residents welcome the move to clear the 100-metre stretch of market once and for good.
