Yesterday, a fire burnt down several tall in Umoja 2 Estate, Nairobi.
“Very sad that umoja 2 traders woke up to this. The loss is too much now that we’ve ushered in new year 2022…. @George Theuri please look into this. They need to get back on their feet again,” a facebooker Joram Ogare wrote.
In march 2021, a fire destroyed a garage in Umoja 2 area. The Umoja 2 Hustler’s garage was quickly rebuilt thanks to monetary support from Deputy President William Ruto and area MP George Theuri.
The poorly planned estate has had many fire incidents in 2020 and 2021 due to wrangles over land and business rivalry.
