President William Ruto has appointed former East African Community PS, Dr. Susan Jemtai Koech, as the next Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya.
The Senate is expected to receive her name on Tuesday when the House resumes sittings after a long recess.
Jemtai was previously charged in the Ksh 63B Aror and Kimwarer dam case but the charges were dropped by the Director of Public Prosecution Nordin Haji.
According to the Order Paper published by the Clerk’s office on Tuesday, part of the House’s business will be to receive the president’s message on Koech’s nomination.
The name will then be referred to the Departmental Committee on Finance for review before being approved by the House.
