Reports indicate that the company hired a reputable catering firm that provided food to its staff who were working during Christmas time.
One has succumbed to food poisoning. Several hospitalised.
“The employees reportedly started developing abdominal pains on Tuesday, December 27, shortly after serving a buffet prepared by a hired catering firm,” a report that appeared online said.
The report also said that some of the affected employees work with Royal Media Services’ vernacular radio stations and tv stations.
A comment by Diana Makokha who works at Royal Media Services indicates that she was among the affected. “Yes dear, I am well. Been treated. I’m well, thanks,” Diana responded to a message of concern on Facebook.
It was not the first time the media house contracted the catering firm to provide food services. However, it is not clear what might have gone wrong with the buffet meal that was served.
