Residents of Umoja Estate and its environs, Donholm, Tenalands and Buruburu shared their views on this site’s Twitter account @Umoja_News requesting the leadership in their wards to take road repairs seriously.
Most of them have been sharing badly damaged roads, flooded roads due to bad drainage and paths that should be tarmacked.
Most residents complained about the sorry state of El-gibor drive.
El-gibor drive is the road that connects Umoja Estate to Manyanja road; passing through the Tena Police Post.
In rainy season, the road is impassable and create a huge traffic snarl up that affects Manyanja, Jogoo and Outering Roads.
My friend Carwash can not affect the construction of that road, it just need a good drainage system na hiyo inawezekana pic.twitter.com/GqLAJ067m1

The potholes are very big that a small car, the size of Toyota Vitz, Suzuki Alto cannot manage to pass.
The new Embakasi West MP Mark Mwenje, has been on a road repair spree.
Unlike his predecessor, Mwenje has already tarmacked major connecting roads within Umoja Estate.

The road that connects Umoja Q and Umoja Market now has a cabro.
The road that starts from Nabuto Supermarket stage into Innercore towards Tumaini and Kifaru primary schools now has been paved.
In the past, Theuri would concentrate road repair efforts in Umoja 1 ward.
Umoja 2 MCAs have been lazy and this is why the roads in that ward are pathetic.
With Mwenje’s entry, things are looking up.
